The Mercury Verado is an wondrous engine, built in an amazing factory. This story brought us start to finish. We met the scientists who created the special alloys for the Verado; the mills that mold the blocks; the robots that assemble the engines; and we witnessed the rigorous testing the engines go through. In two days we photographed at both the Fond du Lac, WI factory and on the water at "Lake X," Mercury's test facility in Florida.
