Experiential design, product concepting and branding considerations for a flagship retail store program to be licensed from this unique religious, cultural, and inspirational institution.
The program was to be licensed through The Vatican Library Collection, the Vatican Museums, and the Vatican Treasury, official licensor representatives for such programs of The Vatican. The Vatican Museums, together with the Vatican Library Collection, house one of the world?s great collections of art, manuscripts, sculpture, and historical documents, featuring the works of such artists as Rafael, Michelangelo, and Bernini. The Vatican Library Collection itself, much of which is not publicly viewed given the scale of the collection, is the equivalent of six football fields in size. The Vatican Library Collection traces its beginnings to the year 1451, with its inception as the official private library of the popes. Under the auspices of this licensing program, The Vatican Library authorized and licensed a third-party organization to make products and services available (including authorized use of the Vatican Library name and official logo), utilizing the contents of the library, one of the great collections of art, manuscripts, sculpture, and historical documents that exist in the world
Work was conducted with an overall strategic marketing framework in place, including careful consideration of product suitability, means and methods of distribution, and First Unit considerations.
Clients: Inspirations Product Group LLC, in association with leading Vatican master licensees 1451 International, Ltd. and Second Renaissance LLC.
